About Charbagh Railway Station
Charbagh railway station of Lucknow is one of the most beautiful railway stations in the country. Charbagh railway station was earlier called Chahar Bagh in the Persian language. Like Nawab Asafuddaulah’s favorite Aishbagh, Charbagh was also very much liked by him, but when the British captured Awadh and banished the Nawab from here, then the British laid the foundation of Charbagh railway station. The foundation of Charbagh Railway Station was laid in 1914. It was built at the cost of around 60 to 70 lakhs.

The specialty of Charbagh railway station is that when a train arrives on the platform of the railway station, no matter how loud its engine or horn is, its sound never reaches outside the railway station. At the same time, there is not much distance between the premises outside Charbagh and the platform. At any other railway station in the country, the sound of the arrival and departure of the train is clearly heard outside.
