Ayodhya Junction has direct trains. Lucknow-Ayodhya Intercity is most convenient (~2.5 hrs). Book on IRCTC. During festivals (Diwali, Holi, Chhath), book 2-3 weeks in advance. Tatkal opens 10 AM (AC) and 11 AM (non-AC).
